What are presentations?

In the context of CPD, presentations are, as the name suggests, presentations that you have prepared and delivered, which contain technical information or are professional in nature.

It is one of the categories under which CPD hours can be claimed.

They are at the discretion of the licensed professional and not part of normal job functions.

Presentations could occur:

• at a conference, meeting, course, workshop, or seminar
• within a company or at an event sponsored by a technical or professional organization

Multiple deliveries of the same presentation count for only one presentation.

Note that attending presentations is not an activity that can be claimed under this category. However it could be claimed under other categories as follows:

• A presentation you attended that lasted less than four hours long and had no exam can be claimed as Informal Activity: Seminars, Technical Presentations, Talks, or Workshops
• A presentation you attended that was less than four hours long and had an exam, or that was more than four hours long, can be claimed as a Formal Activity

One hour of preparation and delivery earns one CPD hour.

Up to 20 CPD hours per year may be claimed in this category.
